The goal of Urban Refuge is to put aid on the map: Our app utilizes the Open Street Maps platform to break geographic and language barriers and provide refugees living in urban settings with access to service providers. In the long run, the project is intended to improve the health, education, and job opportunities of refugees.
I was elected Chief Executive Officer of Urban Refuge in fall of 2018 and am currently in the process of turning a Microsoft-built app into tool for all. From developing a business plan to Beta testing the app in Istanbul and San Jose, to competing in venture challenges and pitching to investors, I am in the process of revolutionizing Urban Refuge.
